"Majulir Xahitya", a voluntary organization that stated its journey from the second decade of 21st century in the largest river island Majuli. Initially, it conducted a series of webinars and seminars highlighting various aspects of literature and culture to bring out the zeal and enthusiasm of creativity amongst the youngsters of Majuli. At the very outset of sowing the seed of the organization, it aimed to compile a complete history of literary practices in Majuli with chronological order. Contribution of the Mising community to the realm of literature in Majuli, relevance of women's role in Majuli, satriya culture and it's significance, growth and development of journalism in Majuli, etc. are some key aspects played pivotal role in the webinars. The sixth webinar took an unprecedented decision to glorify the contribution of "Ahotguri Mouza" to the literary and cultural world of Majuli through celebrating "All Assam Ahotguri Festival' at Xikolichapori. The underlying significance of celebrating the festival was to commemorate and revitalize Sri Sri Dhuahat Beloguri Than, the confluence of the two greatest Assamese scholars and socioreligious figures Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev and Madhavdev, Along with the festivals, Majulir Xahitya compiled and published a huge volume of a history book based on Ahotguri Mouza. In 2024, the organization decided to organize the "Choraichung Festival" in upper Majuli with its aim to create public awareness on the protection of different bird species by restoring the area which is currently being neglected and under occupied. This oldest bird sanctuary in the world was established in the year 1633 by Ahom King Swargodeo Protap Singh. The three days festivals aims at promoting bird tourism and conservation of birds. It will initiate new opportunity to the entire locality through bird tourism industry. The Choraichung Festival is held on a permanent day and will be enlisted in the tourism calendar of Assam. After success of the revival of "Monikanchan Milon Kshetra" and the rescue of Choraichung, Majulir Xahitya has taken several important steps.
